The 30th annual Weyburn Toy Run, hosted by the Weyburn Independent Riders was held on Saturday, September 8. Eight members of the Regina HOG Chapter met at the KFC Buffet for lunch before the parade. The riders gathered at the Leisure Centre parking lot. Led by Santa Claus and his sleigh, the bikes made a loop through downtown and headed south across Highway 39. The ride ended in River Park where the donations of toys and cash were presented to the Salvation Army. In addition to the toys donated by Toy Run participants, the Independent Riders also collected toys at Wal-Mart prior to the event. All the toys will be distributed this Christmas to Weyburn and area families in need.
