Director – Kurt Anthony
My first motorcycle served a practical purpose – getting me back and forth to STI in the late 70s, (Saskatchewan Technical Institute, now known as Sask Polytechnic). So to say I started riding a “few” years ago would be accurate. Currently I ride a 2010 CVO Street Glide, which is a lot more comfortable for the long haul than the bike that took me back and forth to STI. My wife and I love long motorcycle trips and have gotten motorcycle camping down to a science (no trailer). If it doesn’t fit on the bikes, it doesn’t go.
I have been involved with HOG since I bought my first Harley in 2007. This is a new position for me on the HOG Executive, and I look forward to serving our members in this capacity. HOG is like an extended family, and the friends I have made via this group are amazing. Be safe and make memories. Remember…”Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.”
Assistant Director – Wendy Funk
In 2012 I bought my first Harley Davidson, a beautiful deep purple Street Glide®. Since that time the purple Dragon and I have put over 120,000 km and have been lucky enough to organize and ride with the Women Riders World Relay, attend the 115th Harley Davidson Anniversary in Milwaukee, I also had a spectacular ride in Costa Rica and an amazing ride to Yellowknife, NWT for Summer Solstice. I have several more bucket list rides that I am ready to take on after riding through 6 provinces and 1 territory in Canada and 20 states in the U.S. Mountain ranges and rides along the water are my favourite and I am always up for a ride to find a waterfall or jump in the lake!
I have loved every minute of being member of H.O.G. and I am excited to work with the rest of your Executive to bring new adventures and memories to all of our members. I am very proud to be one of the founders of “Lady Riders of Saskatchewan”. Lady Riders was founded by the L.O.H.® Officers from Regina, Saskatoon, and Yorkton to promote Lady Riders who ride their own bike regardless of the model.
Life is short. Love honestly and fully. Laugh easy. Ride often and free. And… Never regret anything that made you smile or that made someone else happy.
Co-Road Captain – Murray Torrie
Hello fellow Hoggers! My name is Murray Torrie and I am excited to be one of your Head Road Captains for 2020/2021 I have been a H.O.G. member since 2016 when my beautiful wife Joanne Torrie surprised me with a brand new 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special in Velocity Red as her present to me for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Co-Road Captain – Sherrdean Derkatch
Hello everyone. My name is Sherrdean Derkatch and I’m happy to be one of your Head Road Captains for 2020.
I have been a member of the Regina HOG Chapter since 2018 and have thoroughly enjoyed riding with the wonderful people I have met on our weekly rides. I have been riding motorcycles for almost 30 years and currently ride a 2016 Fat Boy affectionately named ‘Fatty Sir Frapsalot’. I grew up riding dirt bikes, had a couple street bikes and even dappled in motocross, but there’s just nothing like a Harley to make my heart sing. The only thing I love more is the love of my life Tony, and thank God he loves riding as much as I do. We’re just starting to get into long distance rides and we hope to make it to the Prairie Regional Rally this year in Calgary.
Last year was our first rally in Sturgis and we both left our hearts behind in the Black Hills. This is my first position on the HOG Executive and I’m looking forward to serving our members in this capacity. If you know someone who is interested in becoming a HOG member, please let one of your Executive know and we’ll be more than happy to get the ball rolling. Lasting friendships and opportunities to give back to the community by way of our various charity events, is something that needs to be shared with others. Here’s to a riding season filled with sunshine, blue skies and safe rides.
Treasurer – Howard Slack
Married for over 43 years to the same wonderful, beautiful woman – Mavis. We have three Children, Julie, Douglas, and David. Three Grandchildren Autumn Shelby, Hannah Storm and Violet Abigail. Mavis and I have our own Business in White City, Slack’s Accounting and Income Tax Services for over 35 years. We have lived in White City for 39 years and enjoy the life here. I have also been on the White City town council for the last 14 years. I restated riding in 1999 after 30 years away from the bike. I Purchased a Honda Gold wing to get back into the swing of riding again. I purchased my 2005 Harley Davidson Ultra in 2005 and added a 2008 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic with anniversary colors to match my 2008 Ford F350 Harley- Davidson® truck.
I made the trip to Sturgis every year for 14 years up to 2017 and plan to make the trip again as long as I am breathing, the riding is great and a lot to see. In 2013 I made the trip to Milwaukee for the 110 anniversary of Harley-Davidson® what a great time with great company (had a Blast except for Minot – hence DZL – 11 plates). The Riding Rally from Lloydminster, Saskatoon, Yorkton and Regina was a great ride. I had a blast putting it on and enjoyed the company and meeting new riders from all over the country on the ride.
Secretary – Dave Jensen
Hello fellow HOG members. I have been a HOG member since 2016 having bought my first Harley then too, a 2014 Street Glide. I have ridden and competed in amateur classes in different forms of motorcycles my whole life; you could say bikes are in my blood.
Being fairly new to the city moving here in 2012, joining the club has given me the opportunity to meet some great people, and I am looking forward to meeting many more. I am happy to support the club and the executive in the role as Secretary. I look forward to this next riding season.
I have been a H.O.G.® member for a number of years and am now serving as the Membership Director. I look forward to riding, meeting people and making new friends as well as belonging to the Regina H.O.G.® Chapter.
Also, on behalf of the Regina H.O.G.® chapter I have for sale, H.O.G.® tee shirts, pins and patches. Please call or e-mail me if you would like to purchase any of these items.

Activities Director – Jim Leech
Hey Everyone. My name is Jim Leech and I am happy to be your activities director.
I have been riding since the early 80’s and currently have a couple of Harley’s, 07 Soft Tail Custom and a 14 Street Glide Special. I am also a member of the Prairie Gophers and act as their treasure or the “Money Man”. I am happily divorced and have surrounded myself with some very great friends who shared the passion for riding. In 2011, when I was diagnosed with Cancer, my soft tail was my saving grace. The only time that I was able to take my mind off it was when I was riding down the highway. The freedom and fresh air works wonders to clear your head!
With the help of yourselves, the HOG members, and executive, I am confident we can come up with some fun events which will give everyone a chance to meet other members and hopefully form some lasting friendships. We are always looking for new ideas to do as a group, so if you have any ideas, please email or message me. email@example.com or 306-737-9195

Safety Officer – Lang Neufeldt
I’ve been riding 40 years legally, lol, and have built a few bikes over the years. I like to ride hard and fast; I’ve been active in HOG for the last 5-6 years. Harley is my bike of choice. I love to go on bike runs with my wife, Candy, riding beside me. We enjoy putting our bikes in Show and Shines and Car Shows. Organizing charity events allow us to bring other groups of motorcyclists together for a common cause – helping people who need it. I took on this role as Safety Officer because there are too many people who do not know what to do in riding situations. I hope I can be helpful to them.
Photographer – Samantha Stom-Anthony
Hello Fellow Riders: My name is Samantha Stom-Anthony, and I am the official Regina H.O.G.® Chapter Photographer. Capturing memories is a passion of mine, so this position was a perfect fit. I have been taking pictures at H.O.G.® events for a few years, so it was time to make it official – got the patch and everything!!
My husband, Kurt, and I have been involved with H.O.G.® for the past several years. Sadly, we are unable to make many of the Thursday night H.O.G.® members’ rides because we coach Special Olympics Soccer. But that doesn’t stop us from riding every chance we get. Long road trips are our dream…and the only thing that keeps us going through the long Saskatchewan winters when we are plagued with PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome). We are looking forward to logging thousands of miles in the upcoming riding season!
I have been riding since 1990, even though my love of motorcycles started long before that on the back of my dad’s motorcycle. Currently, I ride a classic, black and white, 2007 Softail Deluxe, which I absolutely adore.
Remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. For me, those moments happen when I’m riding my bike! See you on the open road!
Ladies of Harley®- Joanne Torrie
When I first met my husband Murray he rode a little Kawasaki 440LTD. I’ve grown up hating motorcycles. After all, they are dangerous and only bad people ride them right 😝. So when he asked me to marry him I told him he would need to sell his bike … and he did!
So for our 25th anniversary I totally surprised him. I went to Prairie and special ordered him a brand new 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. I thought I would add to the surprise and bought myself a used 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster XL1200 Custom.
I had our friends and family gather at Prairie for the huge surprise. It was actually quite easy to get him there. I told him my boss (that rides) needed something picked up as they don’t have a truck and he does.
So we walked in, everyone yelled surprise, I handed him the keys and he cried like a baby. Then our friends moved away from my bike and voila surprise #2…yep more tears. He was completely shocked that I would try to overcome my hugest fear so that we can enjoying the rest of our lives riding together.
I took the safety course in May ‘16 and began my riding life as a Learner, then the road test May ‘18 and now proudly sport my “M” plate as a full graduated rider.
I am proud to say that in my short riding career I have had 2 Iron Horses in my stable. My 1st, 2004 Sportster XL1200 Custom that I learned on and rode for 3 years and her name is Journey. Then last year I accidentally fell in love with my new ride, “Thunder”. He is a sexy 2014 Softail Deluxe CVO.
I am looking forward to meeting many amazing women riders throughout the province. Heck who am I kidding, women riders throughout the WORLD! Trust me, if I was able to overcome this fear so can you!
